Zebra Technologies Announces Expiration of U.S. Hart-Scott-Rodino Waiting Period for Acquisition of Enterprise Business of Motorola Solutions

Transaction on track to close by the end of 2014

Zebra Technologies Corporation announced that the required waiting period under the U.S. Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976 has expired, with respect to Zebra’s definitive agreement to acquire the Enterprise business (excluding iDEN) of Motorola Solutions, Inc.

The acquisition is expected to close by the end of 2014, subject to customary closing conditions, including remaining regulatory approvals. In the meantime the companies are focused on completion of operational planning and activities to help ensure a successful transfer of the business in this carve-out transaction.

“This milestone is a meaningful step toward completing the acquisition,” said Anders Gustafsson, CEO of Zebra Technologies. “As we continue to make progress on our integration activities, we are moving closer to creating a global leader in Enterprise Asset Intelligence.”
